报告题目:Solutions for Lithium Metal Anodes: Solid State Electrolyte and Wood Structure

报告摘要:All-solid-state Li-batteries using solid-state electrolytes (SSEs) offer enhanced safety over conventional Li-ion batteries with organic liquid electrolytes due to the nonflammable nature of SSEs. The superior mechanical strength of SSEs can also protect against Li dendrite penetration, which enables the use of the highest specific capacity (3861 mAh/g) and lowest redox potential (3.04 V vs standard hydrogen electrode) anode: Li metal. However, contact between the Li metal and SSEs presents a major challenge, where a large polarization occurs at the Li metal/SSE interface. Here, we present that an ultra-thin layer of semi-conductor material (Si or Ge) can effectively change the surface of a promising oxide-based SSE (garnet) from “superlithiophobicity” to “super-lithiophilicity”. As a result, the interfacial resistance between Li and garnet dramatically decreased. Furthermore, we have developed a wood derived porous carbon based current collector, which can be used an ideal host for metallic anodes.

 

报告人简介:罗巍,同济大学材料科学与工程学院特聘研究员、博士生导师。回国前担任美国马里兰大学机械工程学院 Assistant Research Professor。曾先后于俄勒冈州立大学化学学院,马里兰大学机械工程学院进行博士后研究。本科毕业于西北工业大学,博士毕业于华中科技大学材料科学与工程学院。主要研究新型能源材料和器件,在固态锂离子电池和钠离子电池等领域已发表论文50余篇。作为第一作者/共同第一作者的工作发表在Chem. Rev., Acc. Chem. Res., JACS, Adv. Mater., PNAS, Nano Lett.等知名期刊上。申请人论文总引用次数已达到3000余次,H影响因子32(引自Web of Science数据)。
